Reports To; Group General Manager (or designate, Executive Chef)

Hours: You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week over a minimum of 5 days per week. This will include working on Saturdays and Sundays, especially during the busy holiday season and otherwise in line with the requirements of the business. Exact days and hours of working will vary on a week-by-week basis according to the needs of the business and as agreed with the Group General Manager.

Job Summary

As the Visitor Centre Supervisor, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of front of house operations with-in all visitor centre departments (catering, tour and retail) of Annandale Distillery, maintaining a hospitable guest experience. You will remain vigilant in maintaining a progressive and fully functional front of house environment whilst bringing your expertise to all staff and provide on the job training alongside the Group Hospitality & Office Manager and Group Training Manager to raise the level of service and general standards. You will also maintain the venue aesthetics and deliver all Visitor Centre offerings at the highest quality. You will enhance the guest experience by providing exceptional service and be knowledgeable in all aspects of the food and beverage menus, tours and retail offering. Be vigilant in improving communication, being pro-active in preparation, and have dedication in delivering consistent hospitality.

Main Duties;

· Set, develop and follow opening and closing procedures, and see duties are completed before end of day.

· Adhere to the Order of Service & health and safety guidelines.

· Maintain high standards across the team

· Be aware of all statutory regulations affecting health and safety, and ensure that any health or safety hazard is rectified

· Ensure effective communication across your team.

· Hold regular on-the-job training sessions and daily pre-service staff briefings

· Maintain high degree of interest in self-development, by making realistic recommendations

· Cash management

· Good interpersonal skills – Customer service.

· Manage new staff induction program with help from the Group Training Manager.

· Maintain stock accuracy.

· Develop and deliver a hospitality and retail environment to meet company guidelines.

· Have an in-depth knowledge of all booking and till systems

· Schedule management – we operate on a 7 day week.

· Supervise the catering team and retail team.

· To ensure all displays maintain a high impact visual merchandising of retail space.

· Have in depth knowledge of the whisky production process and all Annandale Distillery brands.

· Working closely with the Tour & Whisky Advocate look to develop new ideas to help Annandale’s visitor centre stay progressive.

· Undertake any role within the retail and hospitality departments when necessary.
