Title: Assistant Cask Custodian – Annandale Distillery

Location: Annan, Scotland

Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours/week, including weekends and occasional evenings/events

Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities: Drive cask sales, conduct tours and tastings, manage customer enquiries, and represent Annandale at events.

Are you passionate about whisky and possess a knack for sales and customer service?

Annandale Distillery, a historic and vibrant distillery, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Cask Custodian to join our team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the forefront of our cask sales, engaging with whisky enthusiasts and driving the growth of our private cask ownership program.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive Cask Sales: Proactively seek out and engage with potential cask owners, providing exceptional customer service and personalized sales experiences.
  • Conduct Tours & Tastings: Lead private cask fillings, exclusive owner tours, and hospitality sessions, showcasing the unique qualities of Annandale’s whisky.
  • Manage Customer Enquiries: Respond promptly and professionally to all cask enquiries, ensuring a seamless purchasing process.
  • Represent Annandale: Attend whisky events nationally and internationally, promoting our cask sales and building strong relationships with customers and industry professionals.
  • Support Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the Head of Sales and Marketing Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Manage cask information, sales records, and customer data, ensuring compliance with GDPR and HMRC regulations.

Who You Are:

  • A passionate whisky enthusiast with a strong sales acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
  • A proactive and self-motivated individual.
  • Work authorisation for the United Kingdom.
