Dumfries Chef Wins Prestigious Regional Competition, Heads to Nationals

Ellia Faulds, Commis Chef at The Globe Inn, Dumfries, has triumphed in the Young Risotto Chef Competition – Regional Heat. With her victory, she’ll not only represent The Globe Inn but will carry the hopes of Scotland as she competes in the National Finals at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Young Risotto Chef Competition celebrates emerging culinary talent from across the UK. Competitors faced a rigorous challenge, showcasing their risotto-making expertise and innovative flavour combinations. 

Adding to The Globe Inn’s success, young chef Sam Macintyre also earned a commendable third-place finish in the Regional Heat. 

Ellia will now focus on refining her winning recipe as she prepares for the National Finals, where she’ll face off against the best young risotto chefs in the country.
