This eight year old whisky from Annandale Distillery has been matured in a STR (Shaved, Toasted, Recharred) cask, a process that enhances both richness and complexity. Cask #335 has imparted notes of green apple, pear and strawberry on the nose. The palate is rich and silky, opening into orchard fruits, vanilla and a touch of caramel. A long finish brings back the strawberry, with gentle spice and lingering sweetness. The whisky’s mouthfeel is beautifully rich and smooth, delivering a refined yet expressive dram.
Bottled at cask strength, without chill filtration or added colouring, this whisky offers a pure and unaltered experience of its maturation journey.
