  • This release marks another milestone for Annandale: a peated single cask single malt fully matured in an ex-Oloroso sherry hogshead from our exclusive cooperage partner, José y Miguel Martín of Jerez.

Traditionally, our sherry cask whiskies have been drawn from larger butts, but the move to hogsheads allows the bold, smoky Man O’Sword spirit to engage more closely with the oak. The result is a whisky of greater intensity, complexity, and surprising maturity for its five years.

Limited to 315 bottles and bottled at natural cask strength of 60.4% ABV, Cask 598 brings together sherry sweetness and smoky power. Sandalwood, spice, and vanilla rise from the nose, opening into a robust palate of roasted cereal and rich molasses, wrapped in layers of peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with sweet smokiness and oak spice in perfect balance.
