Matured in a shaved, toasted and recharred ex Burgundy wine cask, this 2017 Man O’Sword release is the whisky that won Best Single Cask Single Malt No Age Statement Lowland at the World Whiskies Awards 2025.
Cask 374 delivers vibrant red fruits, vanilla, cacao and gentle earthy phenols on the nose. The palate is smooth and creamy with chocolate, cinnamon, black pepper spice and sweet treacle, all supported by soft peat.
Bottled at natural cask strength with no chill filtration and no added colouring, this award winning single cask captures Annandale’s peated style at its most expressive.

Cask 374 STR Barrel
The Experience

The Experience
Deep amber with a warm, wine rich hue.
Grape, blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry lead instantly, followed by vanilla, cacao and gentle earthy phenols reminiscent of a hay barn and pork scratchings.
Smooth, creamy and chocolatey with vibrant red fruits, subtle cinnamon, black pepper spice and a touch of treacle.
Long, warming and elegantly smoky with lingering chocolate sweetness and soft spice.
“The STR barrel lends bold treacle sweetness, orchard fruits, and smoky tobacco to this peated whisky. A peppery finish adds an exciting edge to its rich and complex profile.”
