These casks are from the 2019 vintage, regarded as a solar year with record temperatures. The resulting wine had a notably vivid purple color with a bouquet of summer fruits and flowery incense. Pre-filled in December 2023 with our peated new make spirit, we anticipate red fruits, light spice, and subtle smoke.
Chateau Kirwan is a 3ème Cru Classé that has been in the Schÿler family since the early 20th century and has produced some of the finest wines in the region since the 1990s, with renowned oenologist Michel Rolland consulting at the estate. They work with the Baron, Marchive, and Nadalié Tonnelleries to source the finest French oak, which helps produce silky tannins and floral notes that blend perfectly with their Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wines.
We are proud to offer you 225L ex-Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine barrels that contain our award-winning unpeated spirit. They are available now for just £8,995 each, which includes 10-years storage and insurance in our onsite near 200-year old bonded warehouse.

The peated spirit matured in Amarone casks will develop a brilliant and intense character, with flavours of black cherries and red summer fruits overlaid with subtle smokiness, alongside notes of tobacco, pepper, sweet spice, and chocolate.
